Very slow to boil but apart from that does the (simple) job!

This was bought as a cheap and quick replacement for a broken kettle whilst awaiting delivery of another. Delivery was trouble free, well packaged and works very well. Will now be used as a spare kettle around the family.

This is not a high rating piece of kit with bells and whistles but it does the job of boiling water very efficiently. One thing to watch out for though is the fact that it does not switch off automatically on being picked up mid-boil to use almost boiled water. You must make sure that it is switched off before returning it to it’s connecting point otherwise it will continue to heat and although it will switch itself off when it gets really hot, it will nevertheless come back on again after some cooling. It will continue to do this indefinitely and could be a safety hazard although I had left it like this overnight and no disaster occurred except it was quite warm in the morning.

Good value for money, good delivery service too

This kettle became faulty just after the 30 day return window closed the lid doesn’t close properly and has to be forced close. To have to contact a manufacturer to try get this sorted is a poor service and I’m disappointed Amazon is not assisting with this. Would not buy this make again if this is how the returns is after something becomes faulty after 30+ days
