I have been using the TomTom holder that clamps into the air vent, for while it was ok at first, then it would fall off while driving! it used to drive me nuts!
Going on the tip from another purchaser, he used two small cable ties to go through the screw holes, around the vent and back out! It secured it perfectly! It’s not going to fall off now! Although in hindsight, I should have bought black cable ties not white!

Fixed installations are great; cables hidden behind the dash, and powered on with ignition. I have done it with my dashcam, and now my SatNav. Watch a Youtube video, specifically for your car, on how to safely remove trim. Watch another on how to hard-wire. You may also choose to buy a piggy-back fuse to make your life easier. Once you have convinced yourself you understand the steps, then buy the kit and crack on.

Used this to mount a TomTom Premium 5 inch sat nav in a Honda Civic. I was not happy with the possible positions using the windscreen mount provided with the sat nav.
I bought a vehicle specific mount for the Civic from Brodit which provides a stable surface in a sensible position for the TomTom fixed installation kit to screw on to. The screw holes line up, so it was a 5 minute job. The mount is relatively small and does not look out of place when the sat nav is not in place. Sat nav is easy to clip in or out of the mounting.
The combination of a Brodit clip and the TomTom fixed mount works for me. You can buy an equivalent fixed mount to this from Brodit (could be exactly the same product – I’m not sure) but its more expensive.

Brodit ProClip is a 2-part system:
There is a clip which fixes itself to your car and there is one specific to (nearly?) every different model of car. They suggest where it should be secured and how to fix it there. Normally it is simple a question of clipping it there in a very secure manner.
Then there is an attachment that allows you to attach your SatNav (or phone etc.) and this part is screwed firmly to your clip.
In my case, I have used several different versions of TomTom in several different cars. The clips are expensive (often cheaper on Amazon than buying them direct) but you are paying for the research and expert advice showing you the best possible ways you can display your SatNav without obscuring your vision of the road or the dashboard etc.
I have never been disappointed. 100% satisfaction.

Item good but courier tried pushing through letterbox which isn’t the package! It could have broken it! Package left hanging outside of letterbox no attempt made to contact resident who was at home.

Good and practical. Need screws to fit which comes with it. You need the broddit holder as a base and it fits well with it. A bit expensive but good quality.
