thought i would jump into windows phones as im a bit bored with Android now. so this is my first Windows phone.

    The good.

display is crisp and clear. screen is very responsive – annoyingly so as the search icon is close to he full stop button im constantly brushing passed it and it brings up cortana. however that may be down to my fat fingers. Its a smooth and intuitive interface and if you dont like something there is generally an option in the settings to turn it off.
The phone is really light, im used to heavier bulky phones (coming from Nexus 6P) – even with the battery in its extremely light – really like the weight.
Constant updates every few days and it sets the time to update to ensure it doesn’t interfere with your use – brilliant
Easy to pick up and use straight away – UI is intuative
    The bad
apps can take an age to load but they get there in the end – not sure if this is the OS or capabilities of the phone, oi would assume the latter as W10 works fine on other devices.
apps crash a bit – but it is getting better with every update.
I’ve had to reset the phone once or twice as the whole thing crashed – but turn off and on times aren’t that bad
there is an app gap – but there are alternatives out there that can bridge the gap somewhat – however it does everything i need it to do just not in he way I’m used to doing it.
Battery life is a bit on the bad side – just about makes it through the day with my regular use.
    Overall
Really like it, despite some of the shortfalls, i have found myself moving all my stuff over from google to Microsoft and not regretting it yet – however it has been less than a week.

This is the second Windows phone I have owned and I have to say I am very very pleased with the MS Lumia 650. Having been issued with various i-phones for work, and finding them all awful, for my personal use this phone is just what I need. The phone arrived well packaged and on-time so a big thank you to the poster. Straight out of the box the phone was easy to put together and the first thing I noticed was the lovely build quality. The case feels solid and robust whilst retaining a slim, lightweight profile. I was surprised at the screen size. Even though I’d noted the measurements it still looked bigger than I had anticipated. The transfer of all of the data from my old windows phone to the MS 650 took only minutes.
The phone itself is so easy to use. I love the Windows tile system that mirrors my laptop and the colours are crisp & clear, especially in bright sunlight. When reading the reviews on this phone I had anticipated battery issues but so far the battery lasts easily 48 hours with normal use (phone calls, texts, email, browsing the web, FB, Twitter, WhatsApp). I am not a gamer so this is not an issue for me but I do use my phone instead of an MP3 player in the gym. Again this doesn’t seem to have put any additional strain on the battery. I have also found as many apps as I need in the app-store. I know apple offer more but personally I have found most of the apple apps to be a waste of time unless you follow fashion. The MS 650 is more about style.
So to sum up – (the positives) – Great build quality, slim, lightweight, lovely screen & colours, quite a good battery for normal users, plenty of free apps, easy to use, reliable.
(negatives) – Needs a protective case.

Can’t figure how to get .apk apps installed
but the phone itself is very nice with good battery life.

Did’nt write to much originally as i wanted to get used to it and give the phone a chance.
Now after 8 months i can safely say i hate this phone, I was’nt a big app user at the time
of purchase so was’nt to bothered about negative app reviews, but i was suprised
at how apps come along that you might neeed, for instance,
I bought a £500 tower speaker there’s an app to adust sound lights etc, not on windows there’s not
Facebook works, but every single time you have to manually update or be faced with the same pages
Microsoft have done everything in there power to stop you side loading apps, god know’s why,
hey Microsoft i paid £140 for this its mine i should be able to put what i want on it not what you
    allow me to.
Save your money by a Nokia 3310

OK. So, if you’ve not had a Windows phone before, you should realize there are a few differences between it (Windows phone) and Android or Apple. I would say that the response time is a tiny bit slower. Android jumps to do your bidding in a microsecond or four and Windows does, well, take its time a bit. But in every other respect Windows 10 on this phone is very smooth. The screen is a good bit larger than my previous phone – the Lumia 635 – and the screen is crystal clear. I like how all the settings are laid out, I like how the connected accounts are set up and then forgotten. Security also seems reliable. My impression is that this is an excellent phone for anyone who is happy with Windows on their desktop or tablet. Android users might consider it a little sluggish. Apple users would feel cheap buying something in this price range. Great value and quality, in my final opinion.

Excellent product and great value. I still can’t understand though why the instructions that came with it in the box were in Polish. It made those initial steps when I started to get it working a little difficult for the more mature customer. I asked the seller why Polish and not English but never got any reply. In the end my brother who also bought one but got English instructions gave me a quick run down on the openning basics. After getting it going it was easy to finish setting it up with the in phone guide – it is now excellent.

The instructions were only in Polish as is the guarantee which is very annoying
I do expect an item bought from Amazon to have a set of instructions and guarantee I can read
Phone itself is great, all I would want from a phone – now I have worked out how to get it set
