Absolutely fantastic for the money. Very pleased with the picture quality. Combined with HDMI over Ethernet adapters and ceiling mount it was the perfect addition for our home cinema.
Only very small downside it a little noise from the fan but it’s only noticable during quiet parts in movies and after a while you don’t notice at all. I think this is made worse for us as it is directly above our seating position.

Nothing straight forward.
1. Weak signal required to prevent constant ‘signal searching’.
2. Difficult to switch off with remote – can’t tell if it’s on or off. Regular rebooting required at mains. And when it’s on the ceiling this is aggravating.
3. Difficult to get in right place to get full screen coverage. Would prefer to see some flexibility internally versus having to spend days up a precarious ladder remounting.
4. by the time i got it working i cant recall if the picture on the old projector was as good or not. not sure it was worth all the effort and expense.

This projector is incredible for the money, awesome silky smooth picture with great brightness even in day time viewing the picture is just awesome.
The sound is something I’m not bothering reviewing as anyone using this for home cinema will be using a surround system.
I have had 9 cheap brand projectors in the past and took the plunge for this top brand and the difference in picture quality is just hard to put across in words it is just that much better, and no screen judder when playing 24hz blu rays.
The only thing you need to aware of if you are ceiling mounting is you will need to be right up against the ceiling as the projectors lense projects at 15 degrees so it will be projecting down when it is upside down when ceiling mounted.
Overall the best projector I’ve ever owned, 5 stars all the way.

Sharp, vibrant, colourful with good motion handling & Shadow detail. As usual with most budget PJs, black levels are just ok & there is some fan noise but make no mistake, this is a fantastic PJ For the price. Great for general use, movies & Casual gaming. Lights off for best picture quality. TLOUP1 & P2 look amazing on this PJ.

A great projection, not the easiest to set up and the ‘out the box’ factory setting aren’t good but a few days of altering them it’s fantastic and I also changed the screen to a shade darker grey than I had for the previous BenQ projector and doing that has really made the picture amazing. I’ve worked as a cinema projectionist for years and it can stand proud with the latest layers being installed.
