     Update to
“I bought mine used from Amazon warehouse. It’s a good phone”
I’ve uploaded a video of what’s started to happen just now. I’ve bought two phones from Amazon in 3 months. Both were faulty. Do you know how many times I’ve returned a phone I bought in-store … NEVER…

For the price – in my case £60 give or take a penny – this is a sturdy, functional item. However, running Android 13 (if I remember correctly) on 2Gb of RAM, a stripped-down version of Android comes with the phone, and even then RAM is hard-pressed. (You can allocate another 2Gb from the phone’s ROM to RAM, but that’s not showing up when I check the memory, though I’ve set it up).

So far that’s only presented me with the one limitation, but it’s a serious one. Widgets. I use those fellers a lot, but ‘Go’ doesn’t want anything to do with them. I worked around that by installing the Microsoft launcher. Without all my widgets loaded in I’m now a little fearful they will overstrain the system – we shall see.

For the price, though, I can’t see anything wrong with it. I just wish I’d known about that particular issue before I bought it, hence highlighting it in this review.

I added a 256 GB Samsung memory card to this phone and it continually tells me the SD card is missing which means that certain apps won’t open until I mess about opening the phone and reinserting the memory card. If you’re not going to use a memory card then it should all be okay and for the money it does what you’d expect even if it is unbelievably slow.

Bought this to replace a Nokia Smartphone which was malfunctioning. This one has a very much better camera but just as good battery life, and over all has a better feel and functionality.

First of all I liked the price as I don’t need a whistles and bells phone so didn’t want to spend more than I wanted and this fitted the bill. With good reviews it certainly lives up to most of them. Set up is a doddle once the battery is fully charged which it does quickly. Following the on-screen prompts made the process easy and if I had a usb-c lead to hand I could have transferred the data from my old phone easily too. Once up and running, the phone is easy to navigate and operate. Downloading from the Google Appstore is a quick and simple process with the phone installing apps with no problem. I fitted a microSD card from my old phone and this was accessed without problem. Although low memory I feel this phone will suit me for quite a while as all I need is text, whatsapp, occasional internet and camera. This came with some games installed but I uninstalled them easily to put Classic Words, etc. on. The radio may come in useful so the supplied headphones may come in useful. Overall, for a basic smartphone I’m very happy with it. If your demands aren’t too great then I think most could be happy with it (despite it being Chinese!)

Given to an 11 yr old who lost his old Samsung. Needed something cheap and easy. Seems good so far. A little slow but seems ok for his uses. Mainly youtube and WhatsApp
