Item delivered on time.
Fitted and found the charging mount was faulty. USB car charger worked but the bike mount didn’t
Tried TomTom direct who failed to respond.
Tried the supplier who told me it was and Amazon problem to resolve.
Returned to Amazon

I’ve owned this TomTom Rider 550 for a little while but only just fitted it to my motorbike
The RAM fitting kit supplied is fantastic but just a little bulky. However I fitted it with no problems whatsoever. I’ve managed to fit it to my Honda Rebel 500 right next to the speedo and I am able to view it landscape or portrait
I’ve just had my first ride with it and it’s fantastic
I also purchased some earbuds, the Soundcore by Anker Life A1’s, which paired instantly. I’m only using the right earbud and the instructions from the TomTom are incredibly clear via the A1’s
I would very highly recommend the Soundcore by Anker Life A1 earbuds while you’re using the TomTom
My Arai helmet is a tight fit but the Anker A1 earbud in my right ear just doesn’t budge while donning my helmet. Definitely buy the Anker A1 earbuds to go with the Rider 550, seriously you won’t be disappointed. The sound quality is amazing and the TomTom Rider 550 instructions come through extremely clearly
I did order a set of ‘in helmet’ speakers but decided against them in favour of the brilliant Anker A1’s
The Rider 550 is the tops! Very very highly recommended
UPDATE:
It is impossible to connect this TomTom to the TomTom MyDrive app. However there is a workaround so you can get live Traffic. If you are having issues with this please ask a question and I’ll answer it for you. Also the review by ‘AP1’ that says it’s impossible to connect both your phone AND Bluetooth headset is incorrect, you definitely can

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT TOMTOM ARE BEING DEFIANT IN THE FACT THAT THIS PRODUCT WORKS AS ADVERTISED. WHEN CLEARLY IT DOES NOT.
THE CONNECTIVITY ON THIS MOST RECENT TOMTOM RIDER 550 (03/2020) IS USELESS.
IT DEFINITIVELY IMMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE YOUR APPLE IPHONE (6+), HEADSET (SCHUBERTH C4 SENA) AND RIDER 550 ALL COMMUNICATE TOGETHER (AS ADVERTISED).
THEREFOFE THE SYSTEM IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
AT A £421.00 (E480.00) PRICE TAGE IS TOTAL JOKE, AND IS BORDERING FRAUD.
ALL OF THE BRANDS I AM USING TO PAIR BY BLUETOOTH ARE GLOBAL BRAND LEADERS NOTHING IS SPURIOUS.
I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL INSTRUCTIONS BOTH WRITTEN BY TOMTOM ON THE MANUAL AND ONLINE.
WHEN THEIR CUSTOMERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT HE NON CONNECTIVITY ISSUE IT IS SOMETHING THAT TOMTOM SEEM TO BRUSH OFF ON FOURMS SAYING “IT WILL IMPROVE”.
TOMTOM AS A COMPANY NEED TO SORT THIS OUT.
ILL BE RETURNING MINE. I AM 100% PI$$ED OFF.

Everything I wanted in one package and because the car mount has a USB port I was able to charge battery and update the sat. nav. indoors before I had wired up the 12 volt bike system on the bike. I don’t know about battery life as I am in 3 months lock down, but this will always be connected to power when in use in car or on bike. I fitted Brotect Airglass screen protector straight away and a Wunderlich Glare Shield which was not cheap but fits very well. Spending too long looking at your sat. nav. through the glare can have negative health benefits and damage your bike.

Really I’m disappointed then my new tomtom 550 premium pack ! In 2005 i buy my tomtom rider 2nd edition and i use in a lot of country, have some problems with cover area but was super . This one i start to travel in road I know all ready jut to check( pus me to turn back, I change all settings because I know to use perfect but still wrong !!) I need because warning me for speed camera otherwise I throw 🤬 I can’t call straight to navigation like my old 2nd edition!! This is a future? Thanks but is rubbish 🤬

Thought it had tom tom wifi built in, but you have to connect it to your phone or buy a mobile wifi device

Great for a motorbike, easy to use but Tom Tom app doesn’t work on my phone, it says the app is for an older version. So only four stars as can’t use to full potential

Superb manufacturing quality but compared to others the software is lacking. It can’t even find the town I live in and the address search although it works is not intuitive. Notification of the next turn is fine if you only have one manoeuvre but on a two lane offramp be prepared to have to cut across other traffic.
