Got this as I was fed up with my satnav falling off the screen half way into my journey due to suction cup failing. Found this much more user friendly and able to position the screen for a much better view, and it doesn’t fall off. However 2 weeks later the clip broke off the back rendering it useless .So .Sadly I was back to the hot glue gun and hope it holds. Deeply disappointed even with the price.

This was simply a strong clip that grips the air vent , doesn’t fall off, and to which the Garmin Sat Nav clips onto. Note: Adhesion and Suction Power are not relevant here as a ) there is no adhesive on the item, and b) no sucker. Hence one Star cos it wont accept the review otherwise. Amazon – do your homework. This is a good value item that does it’s job.

I have an older Garmin nuvi 245. I have taken the bracket thing off the front and just use this up to the ball. Works fine on a vent grill in my Peugeot 2008. It replaces the suction bracket that came with my Garmin but does not stick very well now. Half the price. Quality looks similar.

I own a pick up truck and putting the sat nav on the windscreen is less than ideal given the distance you have to reach. This little gizmo works a treat allowing me to attach my Garmin 65 Drivesmart to an appropriate vent. Keep in mind the clamp does not fit all air vents, I had to modify mine by cutting the tab used to turn from position I to II to lock the clamps on to the air vent in half which made fitting more difficult than envisaged. However now it is in place there is no danger of it falling off and the sat nav can be clipped in to and taken out of the holder easily. Very good value for money and it means the sat nav is nicely in my field of view.

I have been looking for something to hold my garmin in the car as the dashboard area does not have anywhere that I could place it. I tried a suction pad at the right hand side by the window but the pad would not hold. I was about to give up trying to fit it then I came upon this !! I know its cheap and may not last long but i actually dont care at this price I would just buy another, it fits perfectly into my vent and my Garmin 55 IS now securely fitted in my car
