I initially could not get this cable to work with my Quest 3 so arranged a return. After reading a guide on the internet I did manage to get it to work. If this helps anyone else…
Install the Oculus App on the PC, and update it. Make sure your Quest is updated. Start the Oculus App on your PC. Turn on your headset. Make sure Air Link is disabled. Plug the cable into your PC. Plug the cable into your headset. Put on your headset and allow access. The Quest should now be connected to your PC. (Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements). I’ve tried this successfully on two different computers via a USB 3.1 type-C, and a normal USB 3.0.

As for the cable itself, it is thicker and heavier than I thought it would be. The included Velcro strap is useful for taking strain away from the port on the headset. My preference is to play without the cable, but for games that require it this cable is great, and a fraction of the cost of the official one. It also extends play times: it didn’t charge the headset whilst I way playing, but the battery drained more slowly. For £20 it’s a great accessory.

15 feet cable has a long reach, I use it for my meta 3 headset.
Probably not the cable’s fault that it doesn’t charge while the headset is on just slowly depletes the battery instead so good enough I guess. The bigger problem is the weight of the cable could be on the heavier side and for such a long cable maybe more than one cable tied?
Haven’t fully tested the transfer spped of the cable out yet just been using it as a charging cable so can’t comment on that.

Bought it for my Quest 3 as I couldn’t see the need to spend a fortune on a link cable. This does the job perfectly even running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in PCVR and that’s about as demanding as it gets. It feels sturdy and coming with a USB C adapter just emphasises value.

I have been using the Syntech Link Cable for a couple of weeks now and has truly made my VR experience better, and it stands out as a must-have accessory for Meta/Oculus Quest 3/2 users. The 16FT length provides generous room for movement without compromising on performance.

The standout feature is its versatility. Whether I’m connecting to Meta Quest, Oculus Quest 2, or interfacing with PC/Steam VR, this cable seamlessly adapts to the task at hand. The inclusion of a USB 3.0 adapter ensures high-speed data transfer, a crucial element for a smooth and immersive virtual reality experience.

The build quality of the Type C cable is commendable. It’s not only robust but also flexible, allowing for easy maneuverability without the worry of wear and tear. The added length proves especially useful for those who prefer a bit more freedom in their VR setup.

Charging the VR headset during use is a breeze with this cable, eliminating interruptions due to low battery concerns. The quick and stable data transfer enhances the overall performance of VR applications, from gaming to productivity.

I appreciate the attention to detail in the design. The connectors are secure, and the cable manages to be both durable and lightweight. The result is a tangle-free and reliable connection, whether I’m in the midst of an intense gaming session or exploring virtual worlds.

In conclusion, the Syntech Link Cable is a game-changer for VR enthusiasts. Its compatibility, length, and high-speed capabilities make it an essential accessory for anyone seeking an enhanced Meta/Oculus Quest 3/2 experience. If you value quality, performance, and reliability in your VR setup, this cable is a solid investment. Highly recommended.

    Bought this for my Quest3.
A very good quality cable, the connectors are solid and the actual cable seems well suited for being thrashed around the room for use with VR.
Worked perfectly with my Quest3 in the front room and plenty of length to use in a larger space.

I really recommend you use the included Velcro style strap to attach the cable to the headset and take the strain off the USB socket on the headset. This is an absolute must as you will quickly break the socket if you don’t take the strain elsewhere.

I originally gave this a poor review because when using it connected to my Desktop PC I found that the battery in my Quest 3 drained FAST, but I have now edited my review because the reason for my battery drain was that I didn’t read the product description properly before ordering!

The seller replied to my review and kindly pointed out why I was experiencing the battery drain. It turns out that it’s because the USB C port in the back of my PC (which is part of an RTX 2080 grapics card) doesn’t support Thunderbolt 4, and it does clearly say in the product description for this cable that charging is not possible without the Thunderbold 4 interface.

Fortunately I do also have a gaming laptop with an RTX 3070, which does have Thunderbolt 4 support. When I tried it on that I had a much better experience. I wouldn’t say it was ‘charging’ while gaming as there was still a very slight battery drain, but it was nowhere near as bad as with my desktop – I’d say it lost about 5% battery over half an hour, so you should still be able to get a nice long gaming session with this cable if you start off with a fully charged headset. 🙂
