After my last curved monitor (HP) died on me, I needed a new monitor desperately. This was my second choice and to be honest it’s a great monitor BUT the one thing that REALLY lets it down is the stand. The monitor actually wobbles about when I type at my desk – it is extremely irritating! In summary really disappointing…

UPDATE 26SEP21 – I ended up returning this product – I don’t think the quality of the product is great – I kept on getting slight interference every half hour or so (tried different cables and PCs) – plus I decided that given the price I paid for it that the slight wobbling when I was typing wasn’t worth putting up with… 🙁 I have now replaced it with a top of the range LG which was a lot dearer – slightly bigger – BUT WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 🙂

I actually liked this monitor but there was an annoying screen flash/flicker ever few minutes. I tried various different leads, Thunderbolt/ Display Port and HDMI and the problem persisted. I even tried multiple different power outlets and surge protected extensions. Non of these solved the issue. It may well have been a faulty unit but the price had gone up when I returned it.

Went for an LG 38″ Ultrawide afterwards and the picture is solid as a rock!

    Some things to note:

+ Slim and low profile – “feels” smaller than it is on a desk
+ Comfortable to use for a long working day
    + Great sounding speakers
+ Decent stand height and angle adjustment (although super stiff at first!)
    + Cable management is useful

    – Bad light bleed
    – No Thunderbolt control of screen brightness or speaker volume
    – Build quality could be better for the price
    – When waking out of power-save mode the screen turns on, then off and back on again

Great addition to my home office setup. I love the ultra-wide form factor for productivity and gaming — FPS games feels more immersive, and window management is a breeze.

Having a Pro-motion display Macbook, the refresh rate boost was a must, and surprisingly 100Hz don’t feel that much different from Pro-motion’s 120.

The biggest hit comes from the DPI. In specific dark websites or screens, scrolling will make it feel like the text flashes, due to the small amount of pixels and the high refresh rate. Text definitely feels not as sharp as on my Macbook, in fact it looks rather jarring. It does make the price justice.

Colour accuracy is excellent, I can fully trust my designs don’t look bad when comparing with my Macbook screen, or the iPhone. After calibration I can’t really tell the difference, even!

The biggest pro in my view is the sheer amount of ports: the USB-C will also charge your compatible computer, basically doubling as a spare charger for me, which is a blessing!

Speakers of course are really bad: everything sounds higher pitched.

Overall great investment, the screen looks slick, my productivity is up, and I’m happy with it 🙂

Using this as a dual display with an iMac with Thunderbolt, a laptop with hdmi, the connections are fantastic. The side by side screen works well for what can look like two full size monitors. The controls are easy to navigate and no manual needed! I love doing my work with my laptop and having the extended display for office applications. If you work with video or music software, the extra space is brilliant. In my opinion, this rig is well worth the money.
