This gets used a dozen times a day. It works well.
No ‘window’ to leak, bit wobbly on its stand

    Adventure – Polished Stainless Steel:
Had this less than a week, does everything we need. Please note, there’s no water level indicator, no light on the switch, & the lid is not hinged, it needs to be removed to fill kettle. No excessive noise when boiling, looks smart, has shiny black plastic handle & lid ; latter is easy to remove to fill kettle & fits securely in position when in use. On/off switch seems well constructed & has a positive ‘click’ when operated. Unlike other review mentions, the one we received doesn’t wobble on the base, pours well, & boils pretty quickly without excessive noise. Maybe we got lucky? Let’s just see how long it lasts.

Been buying versions of this kettle for years. We live in a very hard water area and they don’t necessarily last forever. It’s always been a cheap, reliable product and I especially like the measuring guides so you only use as much water as you need.

Unfortunately this current version is noticeably cheaper-feeling than the same one from a few years ago. Feels flimsier and very light. Definitely wobbles on its cradle. Also louder to boil than the previous version. Not sure this will last quite as long, which is a shame. Otherwise pretty good for the price.

My previous, same model, kettle lasted over 20 years so I replaced it after it started playing up with the same model.

This is a very good kettle, and has given me no problems. I find it quiet, and very quick. I’ve had plenty of kettle’s that say they are ‘quick boil’ then take so long, that you lose the will to live while waiting.

I am also a type 1 diabetic (diabetes meletus) who uses sweet coffee, to raise my blood sugar when needed. So do appreciate a kettle that boils quickly.
I know I could have a cold sugary drink, sometimes I do do that, but rarely, as if my blood sugar is low, hand me a cold sugary drink, and I just sit there looking at it. Hypoglycaemia can do that, where as a hot drink, I will drink quickly (cast iron throat)

This kettle is light, I also have weak wrists, and fingers that don’t work well. So I don’t fill this kettle full, as then I couldn’t lift it, but a third full is fine for me.

So anyone else, who is elderly, or not as strong as they were, may find this kettle perfectly suitable for themselves.
It stays bright and shiny easily, the cord storage works, for the length you want, so many don’t. It wasn’t the most expensive kettle, but definitely worth every penny and more.

Good kettle for the price, boils quickly for one cup. Only downside is it is so noisy.

bought to replace the previous version of this kettle – house full of coffee addicts plus very hard water means we’re tough on kettles. They’ve replaced the heavy matt textured plastic of the handle and lid with glossy lighter plastic, makes the kettle slightly lighter when full, but harder to grip, and looks kind of cheap. This new version doesn’t sit as tightly on the base, so it turns easier, but also feels wobbly. Boils faster than the old version, and it’s now got a holey metal plate between the filter and spout, good for stopping limescale, but makes it a bit noisier. Does the job okay so far, we’ll see if it lasts as long as it’s predecessor

My old electric kettle had sprung a leak so was dangerous to use and I needed a replacement in a hurry. This was my rather rapid choice, and I’m not disappointed with it.

The only minor downside I’ve found so far is that the lid isn’t easy to grip for removal to refill the kettle unless the lid and your fingers are spotlessly clean and free from grease.

My solution was to stick a small strip of the furry side of black Velcro to either side of the lid handle. Had the sides been textured and/or a little more concave, this wouldn’t have been necessary.

That said, it works and appears to be of reasonably sturdy construction by modern standards. If I don’t come back to edit this review, assume it’s still working.

For now, I’m giving it the thumbs-up.
