firstly, i expect theres a whole bunch of fake reviews on here. This is a fair summary of my experience so far. i bought these purely because my beats hurt my head after an hour and i tend to wear them all day when working (designer).

SOUND – amazing for the money. I thought my beats sounded great and partly down to marketing i guess thought i was wearing the gold standard. was very wrong, the sound stage and clarity on these makes my beats feel muddy, and stuffy. The bass is punchy, doesnt distort cranked up, and mids and highs are so clear. i can hear things i couldnt on my beats and everything just sounds better.

COMFORT – had them on for a few hours now, no fatigue, the main culprit for me is the headband, and these are very spongy and no pain at all. really impressed.

QUALITY – dont feel like they could take a lot of abuse. they arent awful build wise, but you can see where they’ve managed to get the price down. be weary of the rotating hinges, feels like a weak point. not maybe rugged enough to last the distance being thrown around in a studio, or lugged around in a bag a lot. not a problem for me, they just sit on my desk and i think if you dont treat them rough then they are perfectly adequate. but hard to comment on that long term. for 40 quid though, even if they only lasted a year or so id be happy with that.

USE CASE- these are perfect for consuming music casually. sound is incredible. did a comparison with my beats listening to some aphex tracks, you can hear everything much more clearly, and the bass is just as rich, but without the muddiness. I wouldnt recommend these for music production, the frequency isnt flat enough, they are specifically designed to just enjoy music through. probably fine for monitoring but not mixing / mastering.

OVERALL – cant go wrong for 40 quid, they look good too which is a bonus.

Bought these on the 17th of Aug 2020 and have been using them one and off since then. I have to say, I’m extremely impressed and well chuffed with these pair of headphones.

These cans are extremely loud, for example I have set Deezer to 100% Volume and the system volume at 15 out of a 100. Any louder than 20 and they are way too loud for me lol.

I have the headphones plugged directly into the motherboard using a very short Y splitter (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07X5WR3JS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) , one port for the douk audio mini amp and one for the headphones. The headphone is connected using the 6.33mm jack when in use and disconnected when not in use allowing me to put the headphones away. I also have the mini amp above the built-in cupboard under my desk, so I can easily turn the amp on and off.

When I wish to switch to headphones, I just plug the 6.33mm jack using my left hand into the headphones. Doing so whilst the amp is turned on there is noticable drop in volume but that’s easily fixed by turning off the amp or if anyone is filling particularly nutty you could increase the volume and pop your ear drums whilst shaking the house down if you were so inclined (yes, they are that loud at 100% system volume).

    Me?

I’d rather keep my hearing intact thank you very much.

I’m so pleased with these pair of headphones that I subbed to Deezer (HiFi) and there is noticeable change in quality of the music as it’s much more richer. I know it sounds uber snobby, but to my ears it’s definitely more richer and noticeably louder. Case in point, 15% volume was the sweet spot on the normal sub and with Deezer (HiFi) it’s 10 or 9 depending on the song type – 15% being the max.

Additionally, setting the playback sound settings to 48000 Hz is not as loud enough as setting it 192000 Hz. I know this because I also used the headphones for work whilst working from home, on 48000 Hz I could hear less background noise from the calls side compared to 192000Hz when testing the voip system for IT. Additionally, I could hear my own voice from the callers side at higher volume on 192000Hz.

Furthermore the sound waves on 192000Hz appear to travel further than 48000Hz as my family complains the audiobooks are too loud when I put the volume to 50% when using speakers, same with watching films too. Where as on 48000 Hz I can increase the system volume to 75% to 80% before they start complaining lol.

I have the mini amp volume set very low as by reducing it by one turn goes the sound to drop for a second and then come back on – it doesn’t turn off if the volume is completely low.

I mention the difference between 192000Hz because the actual audio drivers limit the setting to 48000 Hz. whereas the plug and play drivers do not – go figure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

So on acoustic or instrumental pieces such as Vita nuova by Roberto Caccipaglia I have to turn the system volume down from 10 to 7 as it’s too loud for my ears lol.

Heck, you can hear the song clearly if you take the headphones and place it infront of you by 30 cm for example.

Another example, Sarabanda also by Roberto Caccipaglia the beautiful singing at 10% volume or above my ears feel they are going to shatter like a crystal glass at the high notes… lol. I have to reduce the volume down to 2 at 40 seconds to 53 seconds and again from 1:57 to 2:12 – 5% volume is the sweet spot for me on this song as at 2% the instruments don’t sound as rich and plus it’s quicker to go down from 5% to 2%.

The song Lucid Dream is 8% volume, as the notes don’t go as high as Sarabanda lol.

You get the picture, these are some high quality headphones well worth the £33.99 I paid (providing of course the quality doesn’t degrade over time for new purchasers). The obvious caveat here – it’s all highly subjective and anecdotal.

I took a long time finding these headphones as a gift for a fussy old Dad who’s falling apart in every way apart from his hearing, so I needed really good quality. These are it. I tested them before giving them to be totally sure, I tried a couple other brands sets but returned. These are so clear and also very comfortable I actually bought a second set for myself. What I like is that there is not too much base, the sound is true, you can hear everything as it should be, crystal clear. And so comfortable. And no creaking from the headband. Really good headphones.

Build quality is superb and the sound re-production is bright and delivers at both the top end and bass end. I bought them to use with my new Desktop P.C. and not on high spec hi Fi equipment but having listened to a vast range of musical genres i can vouch that they deliver great sound, and are the most comfortable Head phones I have ever purchased. If background noise is a problem you encounter then these Headphones cope admirably with that as well. When listening to music i sense someone entering my room by the vibration on the floor as they cannot be heard. To sum up. great value at a great price and once bought you can look forward to listening to your music like you haven’t heard it before.

Decided to try these after being impressed by the OneOdio A70s.
These are a much cleaner sound over the bass heavy A70s.

I have some nice Sennheiser 599 and 650 headphones and while these aren’t quiet at that standard they are not a million miles away either. They are a steal for that kind of money for what they can do.
