I’ve had this for just a week and I must say it looks good, it’s practical and easy to use not like those over priced microwaves promising heaven and earth but under deliver!

It has a big interior which was a must for me as I have a wide dinnerware and heats food really fast. It has a few other functions I haven’t tried out yet but plan to…
I’m optimistic so let’s hope it keeps delivering but I plan to update my review in a couple of months.

Oven is good value, works well and fit nicely into the kitchen. Instructions are a little misleading and you do have to press the button hard hence the four stars but would recommend

The Hisense H25MOBS7HUK is a 25-litre, 900 watt microwave. It cooks well and the turntable is effective in ensuring the food gets cooked evenly. On the worktop it looks OK – not particularly classy but not cheap-looking either.

The first thing I noticed was that the front panel buttons take a lot of pushing – to the extent that the microwave keeps moving back on the worktop due to the force needed. After about a week old thicko here noticed that there was a protective film over the whole control panel, and the buttons were slightly easier to push after that was peeled off – but still not that sensitive.

Setting the cooking time is slightly fiddly when using the “Cook time” function, as you have to push in the time in minutes and seconds. So, for 3 minutes, you have to press “Cook Time -> 3 -> 0 -> 0 -> Start”. That’s 5 button presses, whereas our previous one had a 10 minute/1 minute/10 seconds set of buttons that enabled you to dial up whole numbers of minutes very quickly. However if you just press “3” it runs for 3 minutes straight away (without having to press “Start”), which is a lot quicker.

The other odd thing is that the microwave makes a fairly loud buzzing sound when it first starts to cook something, which I initially thought was a fault. It seems to work OK though, and the manufacturer offers a 2 year free warranty. Some of the noise comes from the casing vibrating (it gets quieter when I press my hand down on top of the case) and some from the electrics inside.

Overall it’s OK – not a particularly smooth performer, but it does the job, if you can live with the hard-to-push front panel buttons.
