This amp is great, add a pair of small bookshelf speakers and the correct cable and this is way better than any PC speaker solution you could buy…

Might be lacking features such as input selection for a more complex application, but for what it is, you can’t fault this.

With some electronics knowledge, you could even mount it inside a PC, and make a Molex adapter to provide power directly from the PC rather than use the supplied power brick, but that might be a bit overkill…

I wanted a small amp to connect a DAB radio to wired speakers in another room. This FOSI product ticks all the boxes – small, simple, powerful and great sound quality. I did have a significant problem at first – the power supply caused interference with the DAB signal making the amp unusable. I contacted FOSI support who immediately shipped a replacement power supply (by air, from China) which has fixed the problem. Great service!

I bought 2 of these to add some extra channels for my surround sound systems. I was doing a big update of all my gear so while I had the chance I thought I’d put one of these little digital amps up against some serious kit – a Roksan Caspian, a Marantz SR8015 and a Rotel 1592 mk2….This little amp sounds very good..The Roksan is 20+ yrs old and the Marantz and Rotel were brand new with no run in time…They were better than the Fosi but it wasn’t a push over…These little amps are seriously good value for money..

I had some old passive speakers which hadn’t been used for at least 20 years and wanted a cheap and easy way to try and connect them up again. Plugged a Chromecast Audio into the amp with a RCA cable and the speakers with banana plugs, it all works fine. Sounds fine, more powerful than you’d ever really need in your living room. Easy to set up. So far so good….based on other reviews I can’t comment on the longevity of it yet, it’s only been a week….

This is a decent sounding amp for the money. Not the last word in detail retrieval, but entirely pleasant to listen to. Tried it first with a pair of JBL Control 1’s, which was not a happy combination: sounded very constrained and closed-in. With an old pair of Mission 760i’s, much better.

The included power supply, however, is unreliable junk. My first one failed after about a year. Fosi Audio offer an 18-month warranty, and to their credit, they honoured it and sent me a new PSU. A few months later, the new one has failed as well. Still just within warranty, but what’s the point waiting for another replacement to be shipped from china, when it’ll be the same as the two that have already failed? I’ve ended up buying a used Dell laptop PSU and grafting on the connector from one of the failed Fosi ones.

I was a bit sceptical about buying this, I didn’t want a big amp on display so this would be perfect I thought, it’s tiny and sits under a desk out of site,
And the sound quality is fantastic for my 150watt studio speakers. Great buy

I bought this for use in my music studio to run a pair of Mission Audio monitors. This is connected directly to the Aux Out of my mixer. The connections were simple to set up. You can either use Banana style plugs or connected the speaker wire directly to the speaker posts using the screw thread. This unit is completely silent. The volume control is smooth and purposeful, with enough resistance to feel secure and professional, with no grinding or crunching. The volume curve sound linear. There appears to be no coloration of sound. This is a fantastic using and I will be buying another.

This unit is tiny…taking up about a 5th of a 19” rack space. So it can be hidden away behind the mixing desk. I will be adding another unit to run a 3rd set of monitors.
