Here I am, waxing lyrical about a kettle of all things. But, given the amount of use it gets in my home, a kettle is a real workhorse and deserves to be chosen with that in mind. And, boy, have I had some rubbish kettles in my50 years of adult life.
Its footprint on the countertop is small (great for anyone who doesn’t have an enormous kitchen), and it looks good. Importantly, the pour is actually DIVINE – precise, accurate, no dribbles – really well designed. Easy to hold. Not very noisy at all, in fact, I’d rate it as pretty quiet. It says Bosch on the front, reminding me that I decided to pay for quality 😀

My only teeny tiny complaint is that the lid doesn’t spring open fully, it requires a tiny push to go the extra couple of centimetres when filling from a tap. I suspect that there are safety reasons behind this. But if that’s your only quibble you’ll be a very happy bunny buying this. It never crossed my mind that a kettle could actually make me happy to use it, but this one does.

Oh, and it boils water. But we knew that.

I have used it for 2 months now and can’t say a bad word. It looks pretty good, solid and does the job. Doesn’t spill water. A bit loud but I don’t mind. Highly recommend.

This kettle looks great, don’t forget to give it a wash /pre boil before using. I haven’t noticed a big change in the taste of water with the little filter at the nozzle. The lid has popped open twice, mid boil, but there is a slight click when it’s shut properly so I do ensure to close it fully now. It won’t stop boiling with the lid open. But that’s a lesson learnt. I’d definitely recommend this kettle and the matching toaster.

    Boils very quickly.
But, its extremely heavy. Its tall and thin so looks nice and streamline but is really awkward to fit under mixer taps in a standard new build house.
Very noisy, but does mean you know when its finished
Fill level not easy to see when you are filling it.
All over seems a good solid kettle, but lots of bad design features

I had many kettles over the years (including Dualit which was £98 pounds then). My conclusion is – nothing is forever . It is a kettle and , in my opinion, it is not necessary for it to have an extra sophisticated digital display etc . It should do one thing – boil water . Which it does perfectly well . Plus it looks stylish . £39 price is a huge benefit as well . Why pay more when you can pay less? A perfect kettle !

Seems well made as you would expect with Bosch. I like that it has a narrow footprint on the kitchen worktop so there’s more room. The red light on the switch when boiling is a good idea. It’s loud when boiling but not too excessive. Looks great in stainless steel too.

Brilliant delivery by Amazon as always.
It would have been 5 stars but kettle is sooooo noisy, but so quick to boil, cannot see the water level gauge without my glasses, but fine as my Hubby always fills it up all the time, so so not a problem for us.
Love the design not too bulky like some kettles.
    Very happy.
Ps as another customer noted lid does not quite fully open, but again not really a problem, but maybe for some.
Off to have a cuppa 🍵

The kettle feels robust, solid and an up standard in quality to many kettles on the market. It is simple, classic looking and feels good to hold with easy access lid. The water gauges are clearly marked in white, but it is really difficult to see where the water comes to in the water gauges, even when tilting or moving to a good light source. It’s so hard to get a visual reading, I thought it must be me, but my daughter complained of the same when she came to fill it this morning.. I can estimate the water level by weight, but this makes the water gages redundant and I cannot see their purpose since they are not good for their specified intention of showing how much water is in the kettle., which is not the case, the white markings are easy to read, but one cannot see where the water is. I do like the kettle for all other reasons and I do feel I can guess the water by weight, though this is not ideal, especially when the description of the kettle specifies that it has ‘easy to read’ water gages. I am undecided whether to return the kettle or not For nyone who relays upon the water gauge feature then I advise to look elsewhere. For this poor design feature I have only given this would be an excellent kettle 3 stars.
