Average quality for the TV but the sound was really tinny and needed to be on a high volume even for normal hearing

Ultra slow to navigate with the remote control. The picture buffers endlessly, drops out from wifi and takes an age to download. Almost unusable. This is the worst TV imaginable. A bad purchase.

This is a small, light (2.1Kg) TV suitable for a guest room, travel (a power adapter for a car is included) or any location where space is limited or finance requires a budget solution. It comes simply packaged with remote (batteries included), power adapter, two plastic feet and screws to attach them to the base, and a Euro power adapter just in case you find yourself outside the UK.

There is a 40-page manual which is of limited use – there is no guide to connections, for example – but does contain some helpful information particularly if you want to use “hotel mode” which lets hotel owners set some custom features like a welcome message.

This is a smart TV that runs Android 11 and has 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The display is 768p (1368×768).

Inputs include digital TV (DVB-T2), Satellite TV (DVB-S2), composite video, RCA audio left and right, two HDMI (one with ARC), and RJ45 Ethernet. There is a CI+ slot. There is also a coax digital output, 3.5mm headphone socket, and two USB ports. 2.4GHz wifi is supported. There are physical buttons on the right-hand side for on/off, volume, channels, source and menu, just in case the remote gets lost.

Overall the range of inputs is pretty good and the image quality is fine; perhaps a little over saturated but nothing to worry about at this price level. For us, the TV picked up our Freeview channels without any problem, connected to our home wi-fi, and everything worked. The sound quality is adequate but not very good. The headphone socket is on the back of the TV which is not very practical for actual headphones but could be useful as an audio output.

The remote is really good with a huge range of buttons and the usual central menu and navigation control.

Fine for an everyday TV if you can live with the very ordinary sound quality.

I have had this poor quality TV since August so I think 3 months is long enough to offer a fair review!
The TV has no mounting apertures ( to accept the suggested size bolts) to mount it on a bracket.
The TV needs to be restarted on a regular basis, wether to navigate an app your in, get back to the home screen from an app or to change channels etc.
The apps in its own app store are not compatible with the TV! And many of the apps from Google are not updatable.( due to the Devs not supporting the TV model! I believe this TV was meant for a different part of the world as some of the streaming apps are for…. let’s say not UK/EU consumption.
There is no programme schedule built into the TV.
The sound quality of the tv is appalling! ( sound mode makes no difference to the quality at all).
The low price reflects the low quality of the TV! Buy cheap, get rubbish! ( lesson learned).
I will not be returning this tv as I intend to update this review in 6 and 12 months.
    I doubt it will improve!

As other reviewers have noted, poor sound quality and slow or completely unresponsive to the remote control.
It also frequently “locks up” and requires the power plug to be pulled to recover.
I have demoted this to use as a computer monitor, and replaced with a Hisense smart TV.

Essentially this is the same size as my monitor, but with the added benefit of having a TV tuner inside it.

We’ve found this to be a perfect size for our kitchen. It nicely sits on the top of the door way.

Nice and simple out of the box, setup was pretty clear getting it to connect to my WiFi.

Once it was wall mounted looked the part.

Looks like the device runs on android and has a has a good suite of apps.

Worth bearing in mind that this isn’t a full 1080p tv, its just off that, but for the size of the tv full 1080p would be overkill.

Over all this is a pretty nice tv, would be wicked in a portable home or such like.

I recently purchased this Akai 24″ Smart TV and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The picture quality is excellent, with vibrant colors and clear, crisp images. The smart features are also a standout, allowing me to easily access my favorite streaming services and connect to the internet for browsing and social media – It runs on the android platform so you can load a lot of different applications and App Stores.

One of the things I appreciate most about this TV is its compact size. It fits perfectly in my spare bedroom and doesn’t take up too much space. The built-in speakers are also surprisingly powerful, providing good sound quality for both TV shows and movies.

One downside is that the onboard menu system can be a bit confusing at first to navigate, but overall it is pretty easy to use.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the Akai 24″ Smart TV. It has exceeded expectations in terms of picture quality and smart features, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a compact, budget-friendly TV Android TV.
